About Us
Seniors Helping Seniors South Bay is owned and operated by native Angelenos and Redondo Beach residents Matt and Suzie Solomon. Suzie's decade of experience teaching mathematics at local schools including PV High, Adams Middle School and Ridgecrest gave her firsthand insight into the power of meaningful connections. Meanwhile, Matt's 20-year career in franchise marketing coupled with his service as a community advisory board member at the Pediatric Therapy Network in Torrance and as a Parent Mentor for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, instilled in him a passion for supporting local families.
"Our journey started when our neurodivergent son needed specialized care and services. As we navigated the complex landscape of home care services, we encountered firsthand the challenges families face: inconsistent caregivers, inadequate training, and a system that often prioritized convenience over compassion. Through countless sleepless nights and difficult days, we learned an invaluable lesson—the right caregiver makes all the difference. Our path to Seniors Helping Seniors began with a simple desire: to give back to the South Bay community that had given us so much. We discovered our new calling right here in our own backyard—providing compassionate, high-quality care that allows seniors to maintain their independence and dignity in the homes and neighborhoods they love."
